Wow all Im remember of that tour was how long we waited for the girls to leave the shoe room. Well I was the guy in the #15 green shirt. We had a good time on the tour and afterwards yoga with Vivia.
The Summer Shakespeare Intensive is a rigorous four-week acting program for students in grades 9 through 12. The participants will study classical theater technique, voice, movement, stage combat and more while rehearsing for a bi-lingual (Spanish/English) production of Shakespeare’s work. In addition to Shakespeare’s original work, the students will be using a Spanish translation of the play.
The students hail from all over San Diego County and were chosen through an audition process last March. The program begins July 20, and culminates on August 17 with a performance in the Lowell Davies Festival Theatre.
The Shakespeare Intensive will be led by actors in the 2009 Shakespeare Festival, who, along with Globe Teaching Artists, will teach movement, character development and other acting techniques. This project provides an opportunity for serious students to really explore the craft of acting with talented and well-trained mentors and to prepare themselves for the college or professional theater world.
